Dr. Paul Harris is the Victor S. Thomas Professor of Education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education in the United States. He has previously served as an editorial board member for prestigious international journals such as Child Development and Human Development. He is interested in the early development of cognition, emotion, and imagination. His research explores how children navigate the challenge of trusting others’ statements in areas that are difficult to observe firsthand, such as history, science, and religion. His most recent book, Trusting What You’re Told: How Children Learn from Others, was published by Harvard University Press in May 2012.
